Additional Information for Congregational Leaders
The latest research in Jewish Education shows that
one of the most effective methods for imbuing a
strong Jewish Identity is through informal experiences in the camp setting. Our staff is pleased to work with you as you plan your retreat to ensure a strong program and experience.
In addition to being able to host a successful retreat for your group, you can share in the strengthening of our Movement’s leadership center, making certain that resources stay within the Movement to support our young people, our families, and our congregations.

Mid-Week Events: Remember, we are available mid-week as well as on weekends from September to June. Mid week events can be 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 day events. Your organization is welcome to make use of our facilities! Please call for reservations and information at your earliest convenience.
Small Congregations: If you have a small class or youth group and would like them to have a camp experience, we will try to match your group with other congregations from your area using the camp facility. Just Ask!!
People Bank: Need a songleader, dance leader, program coordinator, art specialist, or general staff? We keep a list of talented people whom you may wish to hire for your event.

A peaceful retreat setting, the Kutz Camp is located approximately 50 miles northwest of New York City in Warwick, New York, and is equipped to meet your meeting, party, group retreat and religious needs. In addition to our newly renovated winter housing, the URJ Kutz Camp has state-of-the-art programmatic and library facilities. The town of Warwick is a quaint town with shopping, restaurants and local wineries. Other attractions near our camp include the Sugarloaf Artists' Colony, apple orchards, area farms (seasonal) as well as winter ski slopes.
